Win A Copy Of How To Plan A Youth Retreat

January 30, 2012 By Stephen Pepper Leave a Comment

Please note that this competition has now ended

We’re really excited about the launch of our first book tomorrow – How To Plan A Youth Retreat. To celebrate this, we’re giving away free copies to 10 lucky winners. And the best thing of all – it’s open to anybody worldwide, so it doesn’t matter if you don’t live in the US!

How can you enter the competition? Just complete the simple tasks listed below and you’ll be in with a chance of winning. Please read the instructions carefully, as only entrants who have fully completed the necessary tasks will be eligible to win:

1) Subscribe to our posts via email

You can subscribe to our posts here. Just enter your email address and click on “Complete Subscription Request”. You’ll receive an email to confirm that you wish to subscribe, so make sure you click on the link in that email to make sure you’re fully subscribed.

n.b. It seems to be taking Feedburner a little while to send the verification email, so don’t worry if you don’t receive it by the end of the competition. We can still view your email address for the competition and you can then verify your subscription once you receive the email from Feedburner.

Don’t worry – we don’t spam you or sell your information. You just get one email a day from us with that day’s post(s).

If you’re already a subscriber, you don’t have to sign up a second time – it just means you’re one step ahead already!

2) Like us on Facebook

We’ve assumed here that nearly everyone that would want a copy of this book will be on Facebook. So to complete this task, you just have to visit the Youth Workin’ It page on Facebook here, and click the Like button.

You then have a choice of doing either number three or four below (although please feel free to do both!)

3) Tweet about this competition

Send a tweet with the following message:

I’ve entered to win a copy of How To Plan A Youth Retreat by @youthworkinit – you can enter to win a copy today at http://bit.ly/yEjqPO

4) Post a Facebook status about this competition

Copy and paste the following message as a status:

I’ve entered to win a copy of How To Plan A Youth Retreat by Youth Workin’ It – you can enter to win a copy at https://youthworkinit.com/2012/01/30/win-copy-how-to-plan-youth-retreat/

** Please set this as a public status **

OK, so once you’ve done 1, 2 and your choice of 3 or 4, please send an email to info@youthworkinit dot com (i.e. replace dot with .) letting us know the following information:

  • The email address you used to subscribe to our posts
  • Your name on Facebook
  • Whether you chose option 3 or 4. If you chose to Tweet, please also let us know your Twitter handle (i.e. your @ name)

This competition is only open on Monday January 30, 2012, so complete these tasks as soon as you can! We’ll then draw 10 names from a hat (or bucket, or similar concave object) on Tuesday 31 January and let all the winners know. Winners will have a choice to receive either a paperback or PDF ebook copy of the book. If you choose the paperback copy, we’ll mail you a copy at no cost to you, no matter where in the world you live. If you’d prefer a PDF version, we’ll email a copy to you.

Terms & conditions of competition:

  • This competition will run for 24 hours from 0:00 Eastern Time (05:00 GMT) on Monday January 30, 2012 to 0:00 Eastern Time on Tuesday January 31, 2012 – so enter ASAP!!!
  • All entrants must click on the link in the confirmation email you receive from Feedburner in order to verify that you wish to subscribe to our posts by email (although if you haven’t received the verification email by the end of the competition, you will still be eligible to enter as we can confirm whether your email address was used to sign up for the email subscription).
  • All entrants must complete tasks 1 and 2 and then either tasks 3 or 4 (or both) in order to be eligible for entry to the competition.
  • All entrants must send the details requested above by email to Youth Workin’ It in order for us to verify that all tasks have been completed – and so we know who the winners are!
  • If completing task 4, the status must be set to public, as otherwise Youth Workin’ It will be unable to verify whether this task has been completed.
  • Names of entrants who have completed the tasks correctly will go into a random drawing to win a copy of How To Plan A Youth Retreat.
  • The winner’s first names and the first initial of their surname will be published on this site, but no other personal information will be published (i.e. winner’s names will appear like Stephen P. Except I won’t be one of the winners. As I already have a copy of the book. Because I wrote it.)

And………………..go!

Update since posting:  Facebook policies and guidelines do not allow contests that including liking pages or posting comments in order to win.  As a result, all participants who entered the competition on Monday, January 30th will be entered based on their completion of tasks 1 and/or 3.  Thank you for entering!
