The group juggle is an ideal game to use if you want to talk about the importance of teamwork.
Resources
2 balls per person in the group (bouncy, tennis, or paper)
How To Play
- Get the group into a circle
- Each person receives one ball
- All members hold the ball in their right hand and attempt to toss it straight into the air and catch it at the same time
- Once ALL members have mastered this, all members should attempt to throw their ball to the person on their left and catch the ball coming from their right
- Once ALL members have mastered this, each member should receive a second ball
- They must throw the ball in their left hand to the person on their right. At the same time, they should throw the ball in their right hand to their left hand. At the same time, they should also catch the ball coming from the person to their right with their right hand
- This is tricky and can take a while to master. Keep practicing though – you can always use this as a recurring game over several sessions
Completion
The game is over when everyone can throw the ball to the left, move the ball from their right to their left and catch the ball coming from the right without anyone in the group dropping their balls!
